Be excellent to one another!
There will be more guidelines for this specific site updated here:
The short answer: Adults are $25 for a day trip, $45 for the whole event.
Yes, one of our citizens, of the Wanderer's of the Flame, is organizing this. You can reach out to her directly: https://www.facebook.com/micifus13 She has provided a sign up link:
Cabins are designated by preferred noise level, not county or branch, for those who want to stay up late and party vs those who are early to rise. It is an additional $5 per night per bunk you are reserving. For example, if you were registering for yourself and a partner for Friday and Saturday in the cabins, you would pay $20 in addition to your gate fees.
Cabins are co-ed. Reserving a bunk does not mean reserving a whole cabin, just a bed within a cabin. Unless you are volunteering in some way, location of bunk choice will be first come first served; obviously we will only sell however many bunks as are available but if you want to be next to a friend, I recommend coming sooner than later if possible.
Ragnaroc is a medievally themed event that is hosted by the Abbey (of the Wanton Wailing War Widows of Ardesca); which is a branch within the Kingdom of Ardesca https://www.kingdomofardesca.org/
Overall, it is part of the Empire of Medieval Pursuits http://empiremp.org/
If you're looking for a ride from Seatac International Airport, we are working out a shuttle for folks coming in from out of town. Please see the contact information page and reach out to let us know you're coming.
If you're driving and looking for directions, type in the following address "204 Van Hoesen Rd, Onalaska, WA 98570" or you can use the Google Maps plus code: JC8G+9W Onalaska, Washington
YES. You don't need to be a member of the Empire of Medieval Pursuits to attend. We don't have any additional surcharges, or taxes on non-members. Many in our club play in other organizations, like Historical Medieval Battles, Belegarth, Society for Creative Anachronism, Amtguard, and so many more!
We mostly fight with weapons made of rattan, but we also do rebated steel. Here's our conventions of combat: http://empiremp.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/EMP_Conventions_of_Combat_v2018.pdf,
Rattan rules: http://empiremp.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/EMP_Rattan_Rules_2018.pdf.
And Cut-and-Thrust: http://empiremp.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/EMP_Cut_and_Thrust_Rules_v2018.pdf
That's a lot to read, but don't worry! We often have new fighters on the field at this event and welcome the chance to go over how we treat one another with excellence when we meet face to face.
The short answer is likely, "yes." We treat our vendors like everyone else: pay at the gate and we trust you to run your business within the bounds of Washington's rules and regulations. Your profits are yours. We like to keep our merchants set up near one another so as to facilitate shopping, so do let us know you're coming: theabbey.ragnaroc@gmail.com
Thank you! What we can certainly use is folks to help with a 2-hour shift or two at the entry gate. It's a great way to meet people as they come in.
No. However, your ADA dog is welcome (https://www.ada.gov/topics/service-animals/). No, this does not include ESA friends, no matter how well behaved.
